Volunteer firefighter has chainsaw training
Training as a chainsaw operator is just one of the opportunities being promoted by the Patonga volunteer fire brigade.
"That's just what one of our brigade did along with eight others from brigades across the Central Coast," the brigade said in a social media post last week.
"Fantastic instruction from experienced operators will ensure more volunteers are able to help trim felled trees as a result of storm or fire damage across the coast.
"If you ever see an operator using a saw please listen to their directions and never approach them while they are working.
"If you wish to learn new skills and become a crew member please pop down to the station on a Tuesday night."
